ABOUT ME

The day I married my wife, Fairlight, was the most incredible 24 hours of my life. I was surrounded by most of the people I loved. My only wish is that each moment could be drawn out for a lifetime. Our wedding day was filled with hundreds of memories that seem to fade with time. Thousands of moments that drift in and out. But one thing is certain: I had a great photographer document my wedding. Johnny Hanson. As I gaze at the photographs he captured that day, I see the joy in my mother's face and the pride in the eyes of my big brothers. I remember the tears on my wife's cheeks as I offered my vows and the expressions of fulfillment on our families’ faces as they joined together to celebrate us. I remember every word my sister spoke, every piece of advice our pastor gave and every smell that filled the desert air. I am brought back again and again with these incredible images.
As a documentary photojournalist, I have honed my skill in capturing the moment. I am a friend first and a photographer second. I believe in the institution of marriage and have a sincere respect for it. I have chosen to document weddings because these occasions are the pinnacle of most people's lives.
